If you're building a full-time off-grid setup - not a weekend retreat - you need storage that can absorb a full day of solar production and carry real loads through the night. This system delivers 19.2kWh of battery capacity, 2560W of solar input, and a 3500W inverter/charger, all wired as a 48V bank. It's designed for cabins and rural homes that have settled on their load requirements and want a complete, matched system rather than components sourced from four different vendors. The batteries are AGM, not lithium. Read the note at the bottom before you decide.
Renogy Cabin Solution 19.2kWh Key Features
- 19.2kWh total battery capacity across eight 12V 200Ah AGM batteries wired in a 48V configuration - enough reserve to cover a cloudy day or high-demand evening without generator backup
- 2560W solar array using eight 320W N-Type panels at 22.2% efficiency - a full production array, not a starter setup
- 3500W pure sine wave inverter/charger handles most cabin loads including refrigerators, well pumps, and power tools
- Built-in 80A MPPT charge controller accepts up to 4400W of PV at 150V input - solar capacity can grow without swapping hardware
- 48V architecture keeps current lower at high wattages, which reduces heat, improves efficiency, and allows more reasonable wire sizing
- BT-2 Bluetooth monitoring module included - no separate purchase required to track state of charge and system performance
- N-Type panels carry a 10-year material/workmanship warranty and a 25-year power output guarantee
- All breakers, combiner box, PV wiring, battery interconnects, and inverter cables are included in the box

A Note on Battery Chemistry
This system uses AGM lead-acid batteries. That is not a flaw, but it is a fact worth understanding before you commit $7,699.
AGM performs well in temperature extremes without the low-temp cutoff protection that lithium requires. The chemistry is mature and the batteries are straightforward to maintain. Upfront cost per kilowatt-hour is lower than LiFePO4.
The cycle life is the limiting factor. AGM at 50% depth of discharge gives you roughly 500 cycles. LiFePO4 at 80% DOD gives you 3,000 to 5,000 cycles. In daily use, AGM may need replacement in 2 to 4 years. LiFePO4 in the same application could run 10 years or longer.
At 127.9 lbs per battery and eight batteries in this kit, that replacement is not a minor job. Calculate what AGM replacement costs look like over a 10-year horizon versus buying a lithium-based system now. If this is a permanent installation with daily cycling, the math often favors lithium on total cost of ownership. If you're working within a budget now and plan to upgrade later, AGM gets you a functional system today.
